College Proteins is seeking planning permission for the construction of a biomass Combined Heat and Power (CHP) plant and associated ash landfill facility adjacent to the existing meat rendering plant (located in the townlands of College and Rathgillen) at College Road in Nobber, County Meath.

Update Notice (10th November 2010)
An Bord Pleanála issued a Request for Further Information (RFI) to College Proteins on the 18th June 2010, in relation to the Biomass CHP Plant Planning Application.

A response to this RFI was submitted to An Bord Pleanála on the 24th September 2010.  
An Bord Pleanála has decided that the response to the RFI is significant additional information.

Update Notice (14th September 2009)
It recently came to the Applicant’s attention that 2 No. documents, which were included in the hard copy of the Application documentation, were inadvertently omitted from the digital copy of the Application documentation.  These documents are as follows:

  • Drainage Calculations for Biomass CHP Plant Nobber, Co. Meath’.  Prepared by Molony Millar, dated 07 May 2009.
  • Proposed Ash Landfill Site for Biomass C.H.P. at Nobber, Co. Meath’.  Prepared by Molony Millar, May 2009.

The Applicant advised An Bord Pleanála of this issue in a letter dated 08th September 2009, and requested permission to update the website. The Board, in a letter dated 11th September 2009, have consented to the updating of this website and the said documents can be downloaded in pdf format below.
